Unforgettable Moment

One of the most impressing experience that I've ever had is when I joined Study Comparative in Junior High School and went to three countries. Study Comparative is one of the program in my school, and it’s only held once a year. I joined Study Comparative in the beginning of 2012. The destination of Study Comparative for this year is Thailand, Malaysia, and Singapore. Our main objective is to visit the school in every country that we visited. On my trip in Study Comparative, I always stick together with two of my friends, Alvin and Sena.

In Thailand, we visited Chinatown. But, we went there ourselves. The teacher didn’t want to visit because it’s already dark and very crowded because of the Chinese New Year, so it’s impossible if all of the students and teachers goes together. Finally, only the students who want to go that went to Chinatown, and the students must leave in a group. We went to the Chinatown by using public transportation. It was very crowded and there were a lot of fireworks.

From Thailand, we went to Malaysia. In here, we also visited the school and some interesting places, for example Genting Highland. Genting Highland is a big entertainment center that placed at a very high hill. That’s why it's named as Highland. To get here, we had to use cable car. Genting Highland is a very big and interesting place. It’s also very cold there, because it’s very high above the sea level.

After Malaysia, we went to Singapore. We only visited Singapore for a few hours, because we had a very busy schedule. From Singapore, we went to Batam, stayed for one night, and go back to Palembang. At Batam, I got a very unforgettable accident. At the night when we arrived at Batam, the teachers told us to wake up at five o’clock in the morning and go to the airport at six o’clock. Unfortunately, me, Alvin, and Sena, that slept in one room; awake at nine o’clock. We were very panic, because the airplane scheduled to go at 9.15 in the morning. Finally, even in hurry and panic condition, we arrived at the airport before the airplane takes off. Fortunately, the airplane hadn't taking off yet because of some technical problem. We really thanked to God for that. Finally, we arrived home safely.
